Sunday - Ghana vs Serbia at Loftus. I was given a ticket by a (very good) friend and tootled of to see the game all by myself. What a blast what an experience. The crowds were behind Ghana (African team) all the way. It was quite interesting how well one can see the game and the players compared to on TV which gives you a close up but you miss the peripheral perspective of the game. Note to self: "go see more live sports events and take the kids when they are old enough to appreciate it"

On saturday I took some overseas visitors on a little tour to see some sites. From the Lion Park, to the Crocodile farm to Montecasino and then home for a traditional braai.
On the photo, Elvis the albino burmese python, we met him at the crocodile farm. Very mellow (yellow) snake.

Football World-cup 2010 kick off. The roads were the busiest I have ever seen. We decided to see the game between Mexico and South Africa at Mikes Kitchen, where the kids can run around and play on the trampoline, the jungle gym, the climbing wall...etc.
I was so nervous watching the game and I screamed so hard when SA scored and throughout the whole game that my voice still hadn't recovered by monday morning. Score 1 - 1.

ProfitClub with ActionCoach is great. We share our wins and losses and help each other with ideas for our businesses. We even get homework...
But the FIFA world cup kickoff concert was THE event of the day (world wide).
Here are some great photos.

9 June 2010

Today was quite a day in terms of the Football world cup. At noon there was a huge support drive in Sandton where approximately 180 000 people got together to show the South African National football team , Bafana Bafana, their support. I wasn't there but I did take a drive from Cresta to Auckland park and back. The spirit was everywhere. I even took the time to blow my own vuvuzela in the back garden. Took the kids to McDonald's tonight as Renita was away and my big boy wanted a hamburger.

8 June 2010

Today I felt a little flat even though I completed a project and even
started on the next. Nevertheless I was busy with all the daily
activities. I'm afraid the orang jacket will be there for a couple of
weeks, at least until the end of the world cup I'm sure.
